Debora Ganz, Ph.D. graduated from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology in 2015, where she received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology. Debora currently lives in Los Angeles, California, where she is working as a postdoctoral psychologist at UCLA TIES for Families.

Debora Ganz’s past research has focused on family functioning and comorbid factors that contribute to suicidality, risky behaviors, posttraumatic stress disorder, alcohol and other substance use; primarily in adolescent populations. Debora has been involved with research at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, Yeshiva University and the University of California, Los Angeles. Debora’s current research focuses on foster care populations and aims to better understand how infant development may be impacted by biological and psychosocial risk factors and how adolescent development may by impacted by family interactions.

Debora has worked extensively with children and families across settings including in Elementary and High School Health Centers, Therapeutic Foster Care, Northwell Health’s Acute Inpatient Adolescent Unit, Lifeline Center for Child Development’s Day Treatment Program for school-aged youth, and currently at UCLA TIES for Families.  She also supervises clinical psychology doctoral students, conducts interdisciplinary consultation and psychological testing, co-leads therapy groups for children and parents, and provides individual, collateral-parent and family therapy for youth of all ages.
